Swing-amajig Starts up its 2009-2010 year. We're saying goodbye to a couple members, and saying hello to 1 or 2 more. We're heading for a a good project for the end of the year, and hopefully with a a new focus and new direction Seattle will be seeing more of us!
This year we will be focusing on: original choreographies, more performances, team competitions, and a more individual focus!

Swing-amajig's first dance was a great success! The dance was held Friday night at the Ballard Odd Fellows Hall complete with lemonade stand and bake sale. Dance was kicked off with a mind-blowing Charleston lesson taught by Dargoff and Britney. Thanks to all who came, danced and supported the team.

Terrible News to the Lindy Hop World...
Frankie Manning, the biggest name in Lindy hop passed away today, he inspired thousands of us to look beyond ourselves, our differences and see dance as a living community meant for us all. His spirit and smile will live on in all of us! Now is the day that we grieve for a big loss, and realize that tomorrow, it is our duty to uphold his name and spirit. Thank you Frankie for being a part of our lives, and thank you for bringing us this amazing dance!

Swing-amajig team members are active on the Savoy Swing Club Board: Lee Broxon is currently Savoy Swing Club Marketing Director and Rachel Smith will be running for Secretary in upcoming elections.

Swing-amajig is turning a new Leaf! New Website! New Members! Some new attitude, and we are back in business!
